DAY 1: Nairobi
A driver will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with your name tag in hand. He will first take you to your hotel so that you can recover from the long flight. You are welcome to use the rest of the day to explore Nairobi. On request, we can provide you with a driver and a vehicle.
The hotel
The Fairview Hotel is set amidst a large tropical garden on Nairobi Hill. It is ideal for guests who want to stay close to the city but not in the centre. The city center is around 1 km and the international airport around 19 km away. Four different restaurants and a sushi bar take care of your physical well-being. There is a swimming pool and a fitness center in the hotel complex for your leisure time.

The hotel offers you more than 100 rooms in different categories (economy, business, first and executive suite). All rooms have a shower or bath, telephone, TV, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a desk. Some rooms have a balcony and are simply and tastefully furnished. In addition, each room has internet access and they are secured with a modern key card system.

DAY 2: Nairobi
Your driver will pick you up from your hotel after a hearty breakfast and drive you to the Daphne Sheldrick Orphanage. There you will learn all about the rescued baby elephants. If you wish, you can also adopt an elephant locally, which you can visit on future safaris. Then drive to the giraffe center where you can feed the giraffes. For lunch, you can head to Makutano Grill Restaurant or Carnivore (payable locally).
In the late afternoon your driver will take you back to your hotel.

DAY3: Nairobi - Sweetwater Conservation Area

Breakfast at 8am and drive to Sweetwaters Private Conservation Area. This area is also home to "The Big Five" - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. The afternoon belongs to «Baraka», the almost tame rhino and of course the chimpanzees. After their bleak youth in captivity, they were released into the Sweetwaters Conservation Area and now roam free in their natural environment.

The Camp
Sweetwaters Tented Camp is located in the Sweetwater Conservation Area or Ol Pejeta Conservation Area which covers 36,000 hectares and offers magnificent views towards Mount Kenya. This area is the largest sanctuary for the endangered black rhino in East Africa. The waterhole just in front of the camp is illuminated at night and offers an opportunity to see the animals. In the evenings, Sweetwater Tented Camp organizes performances of traditional Masai dances. The lodge also has a public restaurant area with an indoor and outdoor bar, colonial-style lounge, swimming pool, souvenir shop, campfire site, WiFi, satellite TV in the common room and spa area.

Like all accommodations in the Serena chain, this one also offers every comfort and Serena quality. The facility consists of 39 luxuriously furnished tents under a thatched roof, with bathrooms and verandas. All tents have a view of the waterhole.
Since July 15, 2012, 11 new tents have opened in the Morani Wing. These are on the south-east side of the existing camp. They are very spacious and are equipped with plush furniture.

DAY 4: Sweetwater Conservation Area
Sweetwater Conservation Area
The day is at your disposal for unlimited game drives. You can also visit the chimpanzees resident in the reserve on this day. A short walk takes you to a river bank from where you can observe the primates that live on the island. After their bleak youth in captivity, the chimpanzees were released into the Sweetwaters Conservation Area and now roam free in their natural environment. You might also find our adoptive chimpanzee Poko.

DAY 5: Sweetwaters – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast we pack our luggage and head to Lake Naivasha. At 1,910 m, Lake Naivasha is the highest freshwater lake in the Rift Valley. Towering over him is Mount Longonot, an inactive volcano. On its banks you can observe numerous wild animals, such as antelopes or giraffes. In the park of the Sopa Lodge you can take a long walk and observe the diverse bird life. Alternatively, you can also take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha and watch the hippos from the boat.

DAY 6: Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara
We will have breakfast at 6.30am and depart for the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After a break, you will be expected at the lodge for afternoon tea. Afterwards you will go on a game drive again to track down the Big Five. After returning to the lodge, enjoy an excellent dinner.

DAY 7th - 8th:Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara
Experience the fascinating wildlife of East Africa on exciting game drives. Virtually all animals native to East Africa are represented in the Masai Mara. By arrangement with your driver, embark on an early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon game drive, or a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Also visit a typical Masai village and learn more about the culture of this proud warrior people. Children can practice making necklaces or bow and arrows.

DAY 9th:Masai Mara - Nairobi or Mombasa
At around 6 a.m. you set off on an exciting early morning game drive with the Landcruiser.
You'll be back in time for breakfast. You will then experience a final game drive as you leave the park.
You will drive back to Nairobi and the driver will take you to the airport.
If you would like to relax a bit more on the beach, we would be happy to book you a direct flight
from the Masai Mara to the coast.
