WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY

Jannet M. A fun and informative start to our Yucatán trip January 2022 We had a great time mountain biking through Tulum with our guide Rene who was knowledgeable, patient and engaging. Every part of the trip was delightful - from our visit to the Tulum ruins before the crowds, to our lunchtime taco stop at a shop in town (they were delicious), to a beautiful and low-key hotel where we learned about the sacred and unique bees of Yucatan, ending with an afternoon swim in a nearby cenote. Along the way, Rene told us the history of the Mayans who lived here, gave us a wealth of information about the geology and ecology of the area, and guided us around the city of Tulum with ease. This tour is suitable for anyone who can ride a mountain bike relatively easily, as cycling and walking does not require too much stamina or fitness. To be on the safe side, an accompanying vehicle was always available. Thank you Rene and Las Almas Tour you have prepared an unforgettable holiday.

Rene and Carlos were a great guide, very passionate about their work and kept the history of the ruins full of information but clear and concise. I felt safe throughout the trip and he also took great care to make sure the whole group was safe too. The tacos were delicious!! Neat Mayan bee history and cenote swim perfectly timed after a hot bike ride (not too long but don't worry). Definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking for a little exercise and culture.

My wife and I did the bike tour with Rene. He was amazing! Knows about Tulum. He's exactly the kind of guide you want and need. But beware: if you are not in good shape, you could struggle through the bike tour. It's all flat, but you're biking all over the Yucatan. You don't want to miss any part of it! Start and bike to the ruins, then to a Mayan temple, a cemetery, for lunch at a hidden spot with the spiciest tacos I've had in Mexico, you have to do the whole thing. Don't give up on the bike ride! After all, iguanas are basically lizard squirrels. Don't be a tourist photographing squirrels.
