Itinerary

Day 1 CHIANG RAI ARRIVAL (MEALS: L)

Upon your arrival at Chiang Rai airport, our driver and tour guide pick you up and then go to visit Doi Mae Salong.

You will walk around the tea plantations and interact with the tribal people of the village with their colorful costumes decorated with special silver jewelry. You will see the wild pink Himalayan cherry blossoms – known as the Sakura of Thailand blooming on the beautiful mountains.

You have lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, you continue to visit the ancient city of Chiang Saen. You visit the border of the three countries known as the “Golden Triangle“, visit the opium museum and then go to Mae Sai to visit the border between Thailand and Myanmar.

Finally, you visit Akha and Yao hilltribe village to learn a lot of information about their culture, customs and habits.

You return to the hotel to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Rai.

DAY 2

CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI – TIGER KINGDOM

DAY 2: CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI – TIGER KINGDOM (MEALS: B,L)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for the pier to board a long-tail boat and visit the Cok River. On the way, you visit the village of the Karen tribe. You will learn about the culture and customs of the local people here.

You have lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: You visit Thaton Temple – a large temple complex with beautiful scenery. You will visit and learn a lot of information about the history and culture of this temple. This temple is only a few kilometers from the Myanmar border. Next, you visit the tiger kingdom with many interesting experiences.

You return to Chiang Mai to rest. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

3rd. Day

CHIANG MAI – BAN MAE KAMPONG

DAY 3: CHIANG MAI – BAN MAE KAMPONG (MEALS: B,L,D)

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you depart for Ban Mae Kampong. On the way, you will enjoy the poetic and charming scenery with green mountains. You stop at the local market to choose ingredients for dinner.

Arriving at Ban Mae Kampong, you walk around the village and enjoy the poetic scenery with beautiful coffee and green tea fields. You relax by the 7-level waterfall – where you will have dinner outdoors. Then you relax with a traditional massage at Ban Mae Kampong village. Next, you prepare dinner with the host and enjoy delicious dishes here.

3rd. day

4th. Day

BAN MAE KAMPONG – SAN KAMPEANG – CHIANG MAI

DAY 4: BAN MAE KAMPONG – SAN KAMPEANG – CHIANG MAI (MEALS: B,L)
You experience Offer alms to the monks at the village temple with your host

Then you enjoy breakfast and walk around the village to visit the local hat-making village. You will learn about the process of making hats using locally available bamboo materials.

Next, you relax at San Kampeang hot spring to forget all fatigue after days of sightseeing. Then, you visit San Kamphaeng – the center of the silk and earring industry at home. You will learn a lot of interesting information about the fascinating process of making and weaving popular fabrics today.

4th day

5th. Day

BAN CHANGE ELEPHANT PARK

DAY 5: BAN CHANGE ELEPHANT PARK (MEALS: B,L)
You enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you continue to visit the Thai northern countryside in Chiang Mai for about an hour. Next, you visit Ban Change Elephant Park – you will learn and become a Mahout (elephant caretaker).

At this park, you will listen to a helpful guide about Thai elephants. Then you ride the elephants and have a chance to feed them.

You have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will experience what was learned in the morning. You will sit on the back of an elephant and practice controlling through the forest and beautiful countryside in about 1.5 hours. Then you learn how to guide elephants down the river as well as learn the skill of bathing elephants. You also have the opportunity to take many beautiful pictures with your elephant.

You say goodbye to the lovely elephants and return to your hotel in Chiang Mai. You stay overnight at a hotel in Chiang Mai.

You enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you continue to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep – one of the most famous pagodas in Chiang Mai. You will learn a lot of interesting information about Buddhism in Thailand when you visit this pagoda. From the top of the pagoda, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and take great photos here. You have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, our driver will take you to Chiang Mai airport to return home. End of services! See you again!
