Museo del Objecto
The exhibitions in this quiet boutique museum, located in a small former house in the bohemian Roma Norte district, are spread over three floors. The museum does not have a permanent collection, but rather extraordinarily curated exhibits that change every three to four months. The themes vary dramatically, covering topics like "The Drinks of Mexico" and "Mexican Football" but always offering an interactive look at a specific topic. By examining everyday objects in an abstract way (often related to design and communication), the museum's curators hope to have a bigger conversation about society.

The museum does not have a permanent collection, but rather exhibits that change every three to four months. Issues can change dramatically; Last year's exhibitions covered subjects as diverse as "The Drinks of Mexico" and "Mexican Football". The intention is to examine everyday objects (often related to design and communication) in an abstract way, thus starting a larger conversation about society.
How is the collection?
In my experience, the exhibitions are always exceptionally curated; They offer an interactive, in-depth look at a specific topic. After doing a round on the first floor, the amount of art seems to be small - until you discover there are two more floors to explore.
What did you do with the crowd?
The museum was very quiet on every visit so I could stroll through the exhibition at my own pace.

Who visits this museum?
How were the facilities in the practical tip?
As the museum is located in an old house, it is not accessible to people with disabilities. Those struggling with stairs may also have difficulty navigating.
Any tours worth trying?
The exhibits are so well curated that it is unlikely that you would need a guide
Gift shop: mandatory, inspiring - or skip it?
The gift shop is small but sells interesting Mexican design pieces. (I stop by sometimes when I need a good birthday present.) Some of the inventory also changes to reflect the current exhibition
