DAY 1: FLY INTO LAS VEGAS
Meet your guides and fellow travelers in Las Vegas, Nevada for a welcome dinner.

DAY 2: LAS VEGAS TO DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast this morning, we'll make our way to Death Valley National Park. We'll make a few stops en route before checking in to the elegant Inn at Death Valley. In the early evening we'll head to Zabriskie Point, from where we can see one of the park's most famous views at sunset.
DAY 3: MOSAIC CANYON AND SALT CREEK
This morning we hike into Mosaic Canyon, named for its beautiful, water-polished marble walls. After a picnic lunch, we'll make a stop at Salt Creek to look for pupfish, where a seasonal stream flows in winter and spring. Venture out for stargazing tonight if the spirit moves you.

DAY 4: DANTE’S VIEW, GOLDEN CANYON
We’ll drive to the top of the Black Mountains to Dante’s View, where we’ll be treated to 360 degrees of vast landscape and features: Badwater Basin. Next, the Golden Canyon Trail leads us through twisting narrows, golden badlands and colorful rock formations, all telling a fascinating geological story that is nicely interpreted by your expert naturalist guide. This evening, we enjoy dinner and a toast to 2023 at the Inn at Death Valley!

DAY 5: THROUGH THE MOJAVE DESERT TO JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
We welcome 2023 with a day of desert beauty, adventuring through Mojave National Preserve on our way to Joshua Tree. We’ll split up the drive with a short hike in the preserve, which is halfway between Death Valley and Joshua Tree.

DAY 6: JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
With a full day to enjoy Joshua Tree, we’re able to access the farthest reaches of the park. Enjoy a festive farewell dinner then step out into the beautifully dark Joshua Tree landscape for awe-inspiring stargazing.

DAY 7: JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK TO PALM SPRINGS FOR DEPARTURES HOME
Rise and shine! This morning, we’ll head into the park for sunrise, to witness the magic of the Joshua Trees and Cholla cactuses in the soft morning light. After the sunrise, we’ll depart for Palms Springs, stopping along the way for a short hike.
