DAY 1st & 2nd PIONEERS VICTORIA FALLS, Victoria Falls

On the first day of the Botswana Best Value Safari, guests will be met at Victoria Falls Airport by a driver and driven to the accommodation where they will spend 2 nights. The Pioneers Lodge is located in a quiet suburb of Victoria Falls, approximately 20 minutes' walk or 5 minutes' drive from Victoria Falls.



Activities:

The town of Victoria Falls is located on the southern bank of the Zambezi River at the eastern end of Victoria Falls. Vic Falls is a lovely tourist town which is great to explore on foot and offers a wide range of activities. From white water rafting and bungee jumping to a helicopter flight and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi, there is something for everyone here. We are happy to book the activities for you in advance

Pioneers offers 50 elegant en suite rooms, each decorated in a Zimbabwean pioneer era style and with a private veranda overlooking the garden and swimming pool. All rooms are air conditioned and have unlimited WiFi access. The lodge also has four family rooms

CHOBE ELEPHANT CAMP, Chobe West

After breakfast, guests are taken by car to the border. After entering Botswana, the vehicle continues to the Chobe Elephant Camp in Chobe/Ngoma (the transfer takes approx. 2 hours). Guests spend 3 nights here. Chobe Elephant Camp sits high on a cliff overlooking the famous Chobe River. The location and unique design of the lodge offers guests great views over the impressive meadows and at the same time a comfortable retreat from the harsh African conditions.

The Chobe Elephant Camp offers its guests a wide variety of activities. You can view the area's spectacular wildlife from an open safari vehicle or boat. You also have the opportunity to get to know life in the village on a cultural excursion

The Camp
The lodge was built entirely out of sandbags. The thick sand-filled walls create a natural insulation between the residents and the heat of the African sun, giving the camp the atmosphere of an old farmhouse. Built from the same red Kalahari sand that dominates the northern part of Botswana, this eco-friendly lodge is ideally positioned to take advantage of everything this unique destination has to offer. Be it the spectacular wildlife that the Chobe River is famous for, or the opportunity to interact with the local Sibuya Tribe who live in this wildlife paradise. Chobe Elephant Camp offers guests a true African adventure.

There are ten rooms and a two-bedroom family room and the lodge can accommodate a total of 24 guests. All rooms have private bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. The cabins were designed to take advantage of the spectacular views over the Chobe River. So you can decide whether you want to relax on your private veranda, read a book in the lounge, enjoy a drink at the bar or take a dip in the pool with the great view.

SPLASH CAMP, Okavango Delta

SPLASH CAMP, Okavango Delta
After breakfast, guests will be transferred to Kasane Airport. From here the journey continues to Splash Camp, where you spend 3 nights. Splash Camp is located in a large private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta, next to the Moremi Game Reserve. This exclusive setting surrounded by shady trees offers permanent water and seasonal flood plains along with classic bush wilderness.



Activities
Day and night game drives and bush walks are conducted by experienced guides and trackers. Seasonal activities dependent on water levels include boat trips, mokoro excursions and simple recreational fishing. Wildlife viewing in the area is considered phenomenal and it is a true bird paradise. Seasonal visits to the local herons (bird numbers permitted) are a must for avid bird watchers.

Splash Camp is located in a large private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta, next to the Moremi Game Reserve. This exclusive setting surrounded by shady trees offers permanent water and seasonal flood plains along with classic bush wilderness. With the relaxed, open, friendly and authentic atmosphere, the camp offers an optimal opportunity for a real and unforgettable safari experience. The main area offers a pool, bar, excellent restaurant and souvenir shop. There is an open boma area with a fire pit directly in front of the camp.

Twelve tents, two of which are family rooms, are located on individual decks with spectacular views of a pan that attract a variety of wildlife. All rooms have private bathrooms with double sinks and indoor and outdoor showers. Simple but graceful contemporary furniture enhances the camp's ambience.

Splash Enclave

An extension of Splash Camp is the intimate Splash Enclave, an outdoor camp available exclusively for six to ten guests. The enclave has its own main area with a lounge, bar, dining area and plunge pool. With no age restrictions, the enclave is ideal for families or small groups.

9th & 10th day

NXAI PAN CAMP, Nxai Pan

After a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, guests are transferred in a light aircraft to Nxai Pan Camp where they stay for 2 nights. The Nxai Pan National Park is located north of the Maun - Nata road and borders the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park to the south. The extensive area of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans is the last remnant of the prehistoric inland sea that once existed here. Today the Makgadikgadi Pans are one of the last truly wild areas in Africa. Famous explorers and explorers such as David Livingstone, James Chapman and Thomas Baines long ago passed through this region on their way to the “interior” of Africa.



Activities
Activities at Nxai Pan Camp include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, stargazing, walking safaris and visits to the Baines Baobabs. Nxai Pan is an ecologically sensitive area, which is why driving after dark and off-road driving are not permitted.
*Please note that at Nxai Pan Camp all vehicles have a fixed roof.

The Camp
The camp is located on the edge of a forest and offers 8 guest rooms (including a family room). The main area of the lodge consists of a dining area, a lounge and a viewing deck. There is also a swimming pool, a small reading corner and a souvenir shop. Nxai Pan Camp fits perfectly into its surroundings and is powered by solar energy.

All rooms are equipped with an en-suite bathroom and have insulated, thatched roofs which ensure cool room temperatures in summer and pleasant warmth in winter.

Zebra migration

Nxai Pan is known for its large herds of springbok. As soon as the first rains begin, numerous gemsbok, elephants and zebras move into the area. In addition, thousands of zebras give birth to their offspring at this time of year - an unforgettable experience. The large herds of animals attract numerous predators such as lions, cheetahs, jackals, spotted hyenas (and the rare black-backed hyenas), the highly endangered wild dogs and the mysterious leopard. Nxai Pan is an ecologically sensitive area, which is why driving after dark and off-road driving are not permitted.

11th day The safari ends in Maun


After a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, your Botswana safari ends and you are transferred to Maun in a light aircraft for your further arrangements or the journey home.
