12.05. Samburu National Park

Samburu National Park
Today we have the whole day available for extensive game drives. Samburu National Park offers the opportunity to observe animals from Africa's arid zone, which only occur north of the equator. These include, among other things: the reticulated giraffe, the so-called Grevy's zebra, many Beisa gemsbok, the Somali ostrich and the giraffe-necked antelope as well as crocodiles weighing up to 1000 kg. Lions and leopards also live here, which are less shy in Samburu National Park than in the rest of Africa. INFORMATION

May is slowly the end of the rainy season, but the rain usually falls in the evening, is short and heavy and usually does not affect travel enjoyment. Even in the savannahs, the temperature usually stays around 25-30 degrees during the day. During the rainy season, nature awakens to new life everywhere and the savannahs become green and flowers of all colors can be seen everywhere. This creates picturesque landscapes throughout the journey. The other advantage is that there is no other time when the tour is as cheap as in May..
