Day 1

Arrival

At Kilimanjaro Airport - Arusha

You will be warmly welcomed by a driver upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. You will then be taken to your accommodation in Arusha, where you can recover from the flight and acclimatize. The rest of the day is ... ... at your leisure. Tip: You cannot check into your room until around 2:00 p.m. If you would like to check in immediately after arrival, we will be happy to book an additional night in Arusha. Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic in your luggage. You will go on an extensive game drive there. The crater was formed by the collapse of a volcano comparable in height to Kilimanjaro...
... Today, the crater is around 600 m deep and is home to around 20,000 large wild animals. Since the water holes in the crater never dry out, most of the animals stay there for their entire lives. With a little luck, during your game drive you will see hippos, lions and elephants, among others, as well as some of the last black rhinos in Tanzania. After exciting hours at the bottom of the Ngorongoro Crater, you will climb back up the crater rim in your Landcruiser and then drive back to your accommodation.

Day 3 - 5

Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara Airstrip - Serengeti

After breakfast, the journey continues to Lake Manyara Airstrip. Your driver will take you to the airstrip and you will travel on to the Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park
You will spend your stay in the northern Serengeti with exciting game drives and learn a lot of interesting facts about nature and wildlife from your guide. The north of the Serengeti is a very attractive location, especially in the months of July to October. During this time, the great animal migration moves through the region. Herds of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra follow their own cycle together, always looking for sufficient water and food. The animal migration is accompanied by predators such as lions and hyenas, which gather near the herds. Crocodiles also wait for the animals along the rivers in order to make a rich catch during a "river crossing". Observing this impressive natural spectacle in all its facets is an unforgettable experience.

It is surrounded by turquoise blue sea water with a rich marine life in the nearby coral reefs. The so-called Pemba Channel - the body of water between Pemba and the mainland - is considered one of the last large untouched areas for divers and deep-sea anglers. Deep incisions in the Pemba Island channel mean that the archipelago is crisscrossed by life-giving underwater currents, which provide the unusual abundance of fish and lush coral vegetation that make Pemba so unique.

White sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, the Ngezi rainforest, small, original villages and wonderful, untouched coral reefs underwater everywhere make Pemba an interesting travel destination.

The cozy island is about 80 kilometers long and 20 kilometers wide. Pemba is hillier than Zanzibar and because of the fertile soil you will see many fields with all kinds of different crops, such as rice, cloves, coconuts, bananas, cassava and beans.

Hotel - Airstrip Pemba Island
