In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Oaxaca and set off to the fascinating archaeological site of Monte Albán, the most important site of its kind in the region. Narrow streets leading up the steep mountain will take you to the largest and perhaps most beautiful Zapotec city. From here, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the city. It's easy to imagine how the ancient Zapotecs once ruled the entire southwest of Mexico from here. After exploring the complex, which comprises more than 20 buildings, you will return to Oaxaca and be transferred to your hotel. At the appropriate time, you will take a taxi to the Oaxaca bus station, where you will board the comfortable first-class ADO OCC bus to San Cristóbal de las Casas at 9:00 PM.

The journey then continues to Izamal, where you'll receive a short tour of the beautiful yellow town.
