Day 3 –
Pyramiden von Teotihuacán & Basílica de Guadalupe
After a delicious breakfast, you'll set off to explore the fascinating City of the Gods, Teotihuacán, located 50 kilometers northeast of Mexico City. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, and covering an area of 22 km², it's the largest ruined city in Latin America, although much of it remains unexplored and undiscovered. Don't forget to climb the Pyramid of the Sun or the Pyramid of the Moon, for breathtaking views of the majestic City of the Gods will unfold from there, revealing the true magnitude of this ancient site. On the way back to Mexico City, you'll stop at the famous Basílica de Guadalupe, adorned with the striking image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Since colonial times, it has been considered the holiest place in Mexico and is the country's most important pilgrimage church. Discover Oaxaca
Explore the charm of Oaxaca on your own by taking a taxi to the bus station. From there, continue your journey to Oaxaca by first-class bus (journey time approximately 7 hours). Upon arrival in Oaxaca, take another taxi and be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to fully enjoy the beauty and charm of Oaxaca. Day 5 –
Mitla, Tule & Hierve el Agua
After breakfast, you'll head to the impressive archaeological site of Mitla. Along the way, you'll stop at the fascinating Tule Tree, considered the largest living tree in the world. Its imposing trunk reveals interesting formations, which will be explained in more detail during the tour. After your visit to Mitla, you'll continue your journey to the enchanting limestone waterfalls of Hierve el Agua. Here, you'll have the opportunity to refresh yourself in the mineral-rich springs while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the majestic waterfalls. In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Oaxaca and set off to the fascinating archaeological site of Monte Albán, the most important site of its kind in the region. Narrow streets leading up the steep mountain will take you to the largest and perhaps most beautiful Zapotec city. From here, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the city. It's easy to imagine how the ancient Zapotecs once ruled the entire southwest of Mexico from here. After exploring the complex, which comprises more than 20 buildings, you will return to Oaxaca and be transferred to your hotel. At the appropriate time, you will take a taxi to the Oaxaca bus station, where you will board the comfortable first-class ADO OCC bus to San Cristóbal de las Casas at 9:00 PM.

Be awed by the splendor of the Kukulkan Pyramid, also known as "El Castillo," and the many other impressive structures that Chichén Itzá has to offer. The journey then continues to Izamal, where you'll receive a short tour of the beautiful yellow town.
Afterward, you'll head to Cenote Yokdzonot, where Planeterra supports a cooperative of courageous and determined women who have used tourism as a means of self-empowerment and made Yokdzonot a success story in the region. They are also committed to community empowerment, sustainable development, and the protection of the natural environment.
In addition, it organizes social and environmental activities with local children and young people. Therefore, visitors can discover beautiful murals depicting the flora, fauna, and culture of the region along the streets and houses on their way to the viewing platform.
The cooperative also promotes the well-being and socioeconomic development of the rural community of Yokdzonot.
